A passenger has been handed a 30-year flying ban from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Transavia, another airline that is part of the KLM Group. The airline confirmed that the passenger had previously attempted to board one of their flights "without permission" in December 2025, resulting in a five-year ban. This ban was extended after the incident and he is not allowed to fly with either KLM or Transavia until the end of 2055. The man was also handed a fine of 750 euros (about $870) and a suspended community service sentence of 40 hours.
