Rep. Tony Gonzales of Texas allegedly asked another former staffer for nude photos in 2020, during the Republican primary runoff. The Express-News report also reported that Gonzales asked his campaign's political director for sexually explicit photos. The texts, which have not been independently verified, allegedly began with Gonzales calling her a "smart girl" after she shared frustrations with her dating life. He then allegedly asked her what she was going to wear, and later explained how he wanted to have sex with her. Despite her denying the request, Gonzales allegedly continued to be persistent. This accusation comes a month after Gonzales admitted to having a sexual relationship with a staffer, Regina Santos-Aviles, who later died by suicide.
