Rory McIlroy Reveals Status for 2026 Masters amid Back Injury Recovery

Rory McIlroy has announced that he will not participate in any more tournaments over the next three weeks while preparing to defend his 2025 Masters title. This follows his last individual tournament, The Players Championship, where he missed the cut due to a back injury. McIlory had previously stated he would have added another event to his schedule prior to the Masters. He is no longer using painkillers for his injury and feels "fine" and "no issue" during the tournament.
