April's first full moon, known as "moss pink," is set to peak at 10:11 p.m. ET on Wednesday, marking the first potential launch date in April for the first human mission to reach the moon's vicinity in over 50 years. The moon may still appear full on Tuesday and Thursday, according to Noah Petro, chief of NASA’s planetary geology, geophysics and geochemistry laboratory at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. For the best view, local weather conditions allowing, find clear skies and an unobstructed spot away from trees or buildings. The Lyrids meteor shower will peak between April 21 and April 22, with the best views in the Northern Hemisphere.
