The Ward 2 District 3 Constable’s Office will open at the Electric Depot on Government Street, Louisiana, starting April 1. The office will operate out of the former Sage Hair Studio space donated by Electric Depot ownership team member Dyke Nelson. Deputy Constable Anthony Thomas, who covers areas like Baker and Zachary, said the move aligns with his work on clearing homeless encampments in the area. He emphasized the need for a visible, community-based presence in these areas. The Electric Depot has added pickleball courts and plans to expand with a new restaurant and bar on the way.
