Rookie catcher Daniel Susac made his first start in the majors, scoring three hits in a 7-2 victory over the New York Mets. He was introduced as a defensive replacement on Wednesday, but ended up being stranded in the ninth inning against All-Star reliever Mason Miller. Susac also successfully challenged a ball and walked out, marking his first time in his career. Other notable performances included Casey Schmitt's three-strikeout and a three-inning save.
