No. 10 Virginia defeated No. 7 Florida State 4-3 in the series opener at Disharoon Park in Charlottesville. The team's scoring was largely attributed to Antoino Perrotta's two-run home run in the fourth inning. Despite a no-decision from UVA starter Kyle Johnson, Henry Zatkowski and Tyler Kapa secured a win for the bullpen. No. 8 Southern Mississippi defeated Old Dominion 10, taking a three-game losing streak into Friday's game against Southern Miss. Other notable games included Norfolk State beating Coppin State 7, and The Carolina College winning 5, William & Mary 2.
