The Chicago White Sox have been struggling with their pitching prospects this season, with an 8.63 ERA and a 5.25 ERA compared to the Diamondbacks. GM Chris Getz attributed these issues to the struggles of opening day starter Shane Smith, who has had two turns through the rotation and gave up 10 earned runs in just 4.2 innings. The White Sox also have several promising first-round picks at Triple-A Charlotte, including Hagen Smith and Noah Schultz, who could contribute to the big league team soon. However, Getz stated that when they feel like they're ready, they won't be rushed up.
