The Oregon Legislature has unanimously approved a bill that eliminates unexpected costs for cervical cancer screenings. The bill is set to be the first in the country to eliminate out-of-pocket costs for the full continuum of care. The decision was made after Rep. Annessa Hartman, who shared her Stage 3 cervical cancer diagnosis, testified in support of the bill. The legislation is now headed to the governor's desk.
