Dem lawmakers question Amazon on ‘Melania’ documentary

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Rep. Hank Johnson, along with several other Democratic lawmakers, have called on Amazon to answer questions about the "extraordinary sum" the company reportedly paid for Melania Trump's documentary, "Melania," which premiered in theaters in February and was later streamed on Amazon Prime Video. The lawmakers have expressed concerns that Amazon's investment in the film may have been part of an apparent pay-to-play arrangement with the Trump Administration. They also highlighted instances of Amazon's apparent involvement in President Trump's inauguration and the construction of a $300 million ballroom at the White House.
