The Houston Texans and All-Pro defensive end Will Anderson Jr. have agreed to a three-year, $150 million extension, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback. This surpasses the record extension given to Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons. The extension is part of a series of team extensions, including extensions to Danielle Hunter and Dalton Schultz. Anderson was second in Defensive Player of the Year voting after Myles Garrett broke the NFL's single-season sack record. The Texans' defense dominated last season, forcing several Pro Bowl-level quarterbacks to surrender.
