Woodbridge Police Sergeant Marco Bruno has been indicted for first-degree aggravated manslaughter for the death of Aamir Allen, 35, in May 2025. This is rare for New Jersey police officers to be indicted for such a crime when they cause the death during their duty. Bruno will remain under house arrest and surrender all of his firearms, his license, and passport. The case will be heard in Union County, which cannot be the county where the death occurred, to avoid any conflict of interest.
