Manhattan Beach Council Approves Citywide Shuttle Pilot Program

The Manhattan Beach City Council has approved a $540,626 pilot program for a citywide electric shuttle service. The agreement was approved between the City and Circuit Transit, Inc. for six months. The shuttle service would transport people to points across the city for a flat fee, taking them to bus stops, light rail stations, and other transportation hubs. The cost will be $5 per person, so for a family of four, it would cost $20 to travel one way anywhere in the city. However, Mayor Pro Tem Joe Franklin expressed concerns about underage children using the service.
