Cate Blanchett Named British Short Film Awards Honoree: “I Am Galvanized by This”

Australian actress Cate Blanchett has been awarded the British Short Film Awards' Impact Award for her work in the Displacement Film Fund (DFF), which supports short films created by refugees and filmmakers living in displacement. The award will be presented at the fifth edition of the ceremony at the BFI Southbank in London. Blanchet will attend the event hosted by Claudia Winkleman. The Impact Award recognizes individuals whose work expands the role of cinema in society and provides opportunities for new voices to emerge.
