UK to send additional air defence kit to Middle East

British Defence Secretary, John Healey, has announced that the UK will send additional air defence kit to the Middle East, with plans to deploy Sky Sabre, a ground-based air defence system used by the British Army in Saudi Arabia and extend the deployment of British Typhoon fighter jets in Qatar. The announcement comes after discussions with allies regarding the Strait of Hormuz and further cooperation between the UK and the Gulf.
