Members of his own party are increasingly joining Republicans in calling for his resignation or expulsion, a move seen as a rare moment of bipartisan alignment on Capitol Hill. Byron Donalds (R-FL) said he would support expulsion if the issue comes to a vote. Pramila Jayapal (DWA) also supported expulsion, stating that this issue transcends party lines. Ro Khanna (D) and Ro Khana (D), chair of the Democratic Women’s Caucus, have both called for Swalworth to resign and set a standard for congressional staffers.
