Steel manufacturer Nucor has been upgraded to buy from neutral, suggesting it could be a buying opportunity due to the Iran war, according to UBS. The investment firm also raised its price target on shares to $190 from $184, suggesting a 15% increase from Wednesday's close. The war has disrupted supply chain operations, causing supply chain bottlenecks affecting chemicals, steel and aluminum. However, UBS believes that Nucors are largely insulated from the Iran conflict and that federal contracts for steel manufacturers and a decline in U.S. steel imports could also boost the company's shares.
