A lawsuit alleges that the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) never reported alleged sex abuse by a female security guard at a high school. The alleged abuse occurred over a decade ago and was allegedly covered up by CPS with the help of the security guard's mother. This is the latest in a series of sex abuse allegations against the district. The victim, identified as Jane Doe, is not being named due to no charges being filed against the security officer. The abuse allegedly occurred off the school's campus and was not reported to the authorities until 2015. The lawsuit also alleges that CPS failed to adequately train, investigate, respond and support victims when allegations of sexual misconduct arise.
