Today is World Autism Day. Advocates gathered at the Oklahoma State Capitol for a gathering discussing the importance of this month's awareness of the disease. The event included a resource fair, a program put together by community members and individuals with disabilities, and the 11th annual Autistic Awareness Day. The group also highlighted the need for greater education and support for individuals with autism or disability. However, Organizers acknowledged that there is still more work to be done to make the state more inclusive and equitable for those with autism.
