Carmen Paponetti is set to open Domo Sushi in Ohio City, a Japanese street-food stand at Van Aken District. The restaurant will serve the traditional okonomiyaki, a savory pancake made from shredded green cabbage, egg, bacon, noodles, spicy mayo, and bonito flakes. The menu has also been expanded to include options such as snow crab, Korean fried chicken, and sauteed shrimp. However, the majority of Domo's business likely will be in sushi, with Paponett working alongside chef David Rosado to create a wide selection of dishes. The shop is currently awaiting final inspections.
