Bosch launches hydrogen hub in metro Detroit

Bosch has opened a new hydrogen production facility in suburban Detroit, part of a broader push for clean, reliable energy. The company uses electricity and water to produce hydrogen for testing and engineering purposes, and has also developed a cryopump technology to make hydrogen refueling infrastructure cheaper and more efficient. The announcement comes as Detroit tests a range of mobility technologies through the Toyota Mobility Foundation's Sustainable Cities Challenge. Despite challenges, the city remains optimistic about the future of hydrogen technology, with Governor Gretchen Whitmer launching a Michigan geologic hydrogen initiative.
