Old footage of brawl at Israeli cinema misrepresented as commotion at Tel Aviv airport

Israel closed its airspace during the Middle East war following a joint Israeli-US strike that killed Iran's supreme leader in 2026. However, a video circulating online falsely depicts travellers demanding to leave Israel at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion airport. The video was actually filmed at a cinema in Jerusalem and shows a group of people attacking staff for refusing to reopen a food kiosk after closing time. The Israeli military responded with missile and drone strikes after the attack. Some Israeli airlines have since resumed some flights under strict security conditions.
