Valkyries repeat as WNBA’s most valuable franchise, surge to $850 million valuation

The Golden State Valkyries have been named Sportico's most valuable WNBA franchise for the second consecutive year, rising from $500 million to $850 million for the 2026 season. The team's attendance and total fan numbers have also exceeded expectations. Golden State owner Joe Lacob, who bought the franchise for a record $50 million in 2023, has seen his investment grow 1,600%. The team is now home to an estimated 12,000 season ticket holders.
