At a screening of Venus Wars in Tokyo, creator and director, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, discussed his desire to make more anime, preferably non-Gundam related. The event was part of the ongoing events for the Tokyo Anime Awards Festival 2026. Despite being 78 years old and being considered a veteran of anime, Yasuhikasu has made numerous works, including the Giant Gorg and the more recent Gundam: The Origin. Venus Wars is based on Yasuhasu's original manga series of the same name and focuses on the conflict between the nations of Ishtar and Aphrodia on a terraformed and colonized Venus.
