The songwriting team behind "Golden" won Best Original Song at the 98th Academy Award on Sunday, becoming the first K-pop song to win in the category's history. However, they were abruptly played off the stage before they could finish their speeches. The song has seven credited writers, including EJAE, Mark Sonnenblick, Joong Gyu Kwak, Yu-Han Lee (also known as Yuhan), Hee Dong Nam, Jeong Hoon Seo and Teddy Park. This was the first time all seven writers won an individual Oscar and the first in which all five would not receive an individual trophy. The award was met with boos and criticism from the audience.
