Canadian tourist must remain in Las Vegas for alleged flamingo abuse

Mitchell Fairbarn, a Canadian tourist accused of stealing and torturing a flamingo at a Las Vegas Strip hotel, has been ordered to remain in Las Vegas as his criminal proceedings continue. He faces four counts of felony animal abuse for allegedly injuring a bird at the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino on March 3. Police found several photos and videos of Fairbaren with the animal on his phone, including several photos showing him allegedly torturing it. Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Harmony Letizia warned that she would send him to jail if he violates any terms of his release.
