President Donald Trump has endorsed Rep. Andy Barr in the Republican Senate primary in Kentucky, prompting businessman Nate Morris to drop out of the race for Sen. Mitch McConnell's open seat. The announcement came shortly after Trump met with Morris to discuss his plans to accept an ambassadorship. Morris had previously received support from key Trump world figures. Barr responded by saying he was "honored" to receive Trump's endorsement and pledged to stand with him 100% to deliver for Kentucky and "make America Great Again." The Senate seat is vacant after McConnell decided not to seek another term.
