Lady Raiders rack up Big 12 honors after historic season

The Big 12 Conference revealed its women's college basketball awards, with the No. 21 Lady Raiders receiving numerous accolades throughout the season. Snudda Collins was named the Big 12 Sixth Player of the Year, with a total of 460 points and 34 assists. Head coach Krista Gerlich was named Big 12 Coach. Despite a disappointing season, Gerlich managed to secure a tied fourth-place finish in the conference and secure the most successful 25 wins for Texas Tech since the 2003-04 season. Additionally, senior guard Bailey Maupin was named to the All-Big 12 First Team and was the leading scorer for the Lady Raiders with 474 points during the regular season. The Lady Raiders will face either No. 12 Kansas State or No. 13 Cincinnati in the upcoming Big 12 Tournament.
