The revamped Istanbul Film Festival’s Meetings on the Bridge co-production platform, which is open to international co-productions in which Turkey participates as either a minority or majority co-producer, won prizes and interest from international industry executives from 31 countries. The event, which took place at the end of April 12-14, was relaunched under the new leadership of former Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival Başak Emre and Pınar Evrenosoğlu. The festival also featured a strong representation of producers, sales agents, and festival programmers from Europe, including the U.S., India, and Iran. The film development platform selection included “Huckster” by Arin İnan Arslan, a first feature by Onur Sefer, and “Stratum” exploring the boundaries between economic potential and geopolitical exploitation.
