Rain Deficit: Exceptional drought expands across Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia

The latest drought monitor has expanded to include all of Columbia County, most of Baker and Union counties in Florida, and most of Georgia. A portion of these counties would need over 15-20 inches of rain to escape the drought. The good news is that a slow-moving front will move into the area early next week.
