S-Game CEO and director Soulframe Liang has stated that the development of Phantom Blade Zero, a game that will be released later in the year, is entirely made by human hands, not by generative AI. He emphasised that the game will not use AI visual tech that could alter artists' original creative intent. The game's characters were modelled by humans based on 3D scans captured by humans and its voiceovers refined by actors and directors. It also features a series of guiding maps drawn using Chinese brushes and Xuan paper by young artists from the Chinese Painting Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
