This very useful app shows which London pub gardens are currently in the sunshine

Sunseekr, an app that tracks the sun exposure of pubs, cafes and restaurants in real time, has been updated to show hour-by-hour sun exposure on individual pub terraces in London. The app was developed using real-time shadow simulation, Mapbox navigation software and data from OpenStreetMap. It expanded from London to the rest of the UK in August, with 25 cities including Paris, Milan, Sydney and New York all having lists of verified sunny spots. New features include weather-aware notifications and an explore page showing verified sunny locations and the best beer gardens trending in each city.
