Shawn Wilmoth, a 40-year-old man convicted of multiple felony charges related to a petition signature fraud scheme in relation to the 2022 election in Macomb County, Michigan. The fraudulent signatures led to several candidates being disqualified from the 2022 ballot after their petitions were deemed invalid. WilmOTH was ordered to serve between four and 20 years in prison and pay over $376,000 in restitution to victims. A second defendant, Willie Reed, is also set to be sentenced later this month.
