The UK's move to suspend political donations in cryptocurrency is being challenged by rising digital asset awareness among younger people, according to a survey by the Coinbase Institute and JL Partners. The survey found that 80% of UK young voters identify Bitcoin as their entry point to understanding money, risk, and financial opportunity. The findings suggest a potential disconnect between young people's financial literacy and how Westminster regulates crypto. The research also revealed that nearly half of young people would trust a political party more if it showed an understanding of crypto and blockchain technology, while 26% were more likely to support one that supported pro-innovation crypto policy. The study also found that around two-thirds of these young people want the government to offer financial education on crypto.
