13-year-old son with autism was found dead in a Maitland lake after a massive search following his disappearance. The search for the boy, named 13-year old Shawn KIRKLAND, was a major effort to locate him after his disappearance and resulted in a body being pulled from the lake. His parents are speaking out with warning for other parents following the discovery. They thank the police, community leaders, and both First Responders, and First Family members for their assistance in the search effort. The boy's body was found in a shallow lake near where he was found by a neighbor who assisted in the effort. Police have not yet been able to confirm the identity of the boy involved in the incident.
