The Boys season 5 episode 2 revealed that Homelander could survive the Supe Virus, despite Butcher, Hughie, Kimiko, Starlight, and Frenchie's reverse-engineered Supe-killing Virus being tested on Rock Hard, a man-mountain nearly as indestructible as Homelanders. However, their plans fail when Soldier Boy arrives to reclaim the Virus. The Boys are initially stoked about their proven SuPe-killing superweapon, but Soldier Boy appears to be still alive. This suggests that the Virus may have lost its potency, or that the few Supe's left alive who took the original Compound V (aka V-One) may have weakened the virus.
