Heavy rainfall in southeastern Wisconsin has caused flooding and water-related damage across the Marquette University campus, leading to safety warnings. Students, faculty and staff are advised to avoid the intersection of 15th and Kilbourn due to standing water and to follow guidance: "If you can't see the ground, turn around." Facilities Planning and Management is managing water leaks in various buildings across campus due to heavy rainfall. Outside contractors are assisting with cleanup and remediation efforts. The campus remains open and operational. Members of the campus community are asked to report any water related issues to the University Police Department via its non-emergency line.
