The Tucson Police Department has partnered with several southern Arizona law enforcement agencies to crack down on road rage incidents, which have been increasing since the COVID-19 pandemic. The agencies formed a regional traffic enforcement task force to increase enforcement at accident-prone areas. The police urge people to call 911 rather than engaging in dangerous situations. Driver trainer at the Tucson Academy of Driving, Gina Kauffman, and police officials believe that road rage is preventable if people slow down and be patient.
