Paramount-Spyglass' film, Scream 7, has a franchise best opening of the year with a $64.1M domestic opening and a $97.2M worldwide debut. The film was also released in 52 markets, marking the highest grossing opening for any MPA title. Despite a significant increase in screens, the film's performance has been met with mixed reviews. The movie is set to be the first No. 1 opening of its kind for an MPA film, with a B+ CinemaScore and a B- CinemaScore. The marketing campaign for Scream 7 has been heavily targeted, with only $6M of advertising being spent on iSpot shows.
