The crew of Artemis 2 captured a stunning photo of the crescent Earth above the moon's horizon on Flight Day 6 of their mission, shortly before it was lost behind the lunar horizon. The photo was captured as Artemis 2 performed a successful flyby of the lunar far side, marking the first time astronauts had visited lunar space since Apollo 17 in 1972. The crew also set a new record for the history of spaceflight, surpassing the previous record set by the crew of Apollo 13 in 1970. The four-person crew is now heading towards Earth on a return journey that will see them land off the coast of San Diego.
