The first official day of Spring is one week away, a local veterinarian has reminded horse owners that now is the best time to get vaccinated for their horses. The Animal Clinic of Diamond Associate Veterinarian Meagan Noblin recommends core vaccines such as tetanus, rabies, and West Nile virus. Risk based vaccines are also recommended for horses traveling, showing a lot, trail riding, or being around a lot of other horses. These vaccinations can make a difference for horses that travel across state lines and for most show, exhibitions and sales.
