Man carrying hatchet shot and killed by Fruitland Park Police

A man, 53-year-old Duane Terrell Holston, was shot and killed by a police officer in Lake County after he refused to put down his hatchet and reached for a firearm, according to the Fruitland Park Police Department. This is the first-ever officer-involved shooting in the area. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the incident.
