Pixelpaw Labs, a small hardware development team, has developed a new computer mouse called Phase that can split in half and be used as a pair of wireless game controllers. The design is held together by magnets and uses an optical sensor with up to 16,000 DPI and a polling rate of 1,000 Hz. The mouse can be connected via Bluetooth or a 2.4 GHz dongle and can be paired with up until 72 hours on a single charge. The company plans to fund the product via a Kickstarter campaign and is also developing the Phasegrip accessory.
