NBA champion Lamar Odom has downplayed Khloé Kardashian's role in his recovery after a near-fatal overdose in 2015, stating that he believes God saved my life. The documentary Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar ODom premiered on Netflix on March 31, which revealed that Kardashian had previously claimed that her estranged father, Joe Odom, wanted to pull the plug on his unconscious son at the hospital. Despite this, Odom dismissed this claim in a new interview on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, stating he was knocked out and asleep at the time. He also questioned Kardashian's claim that he agreed to stand down once Kardashian gave him $100 and a new pair of Nikes. After Odom was discharged from the hospital, Kardashian rented him a home near hers in Calabasasas and paid for him to have a caretaker and chef, but she eventually kicked him out of the home and told him she never wanted to speak to him again.
