Professor in Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University has revealed that being regularly active can improve mental health, reduce disease risk, and increase lifespan. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that adults should have at least 150 minutes of moderate activity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity per week, but only 73 percent of adults worldwide and 51 percent of Canadian adults are considered physically inactive.
