Lines at airport smaller, travelers still arriving 6 hours early

Security lines at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport have decreased significantly due to the ongoing federal government shutdown. The TSA has also been working with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to assist with security. The shutdown is centered on funding for the Department of Homeland Security, which both agencies are part of.
