The official opening of the new MET – Montréal Metropolitan Airport terminal (MET), in June 2026, is set to redefine the travel experience in Greater Montreal. The new terminal, developed by YHU Infrastructure Partners, aims to offer a more accessible, efficient and user-friendly alternative to existing airports. It will be opened as a hub for quieter, more fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft and will offer flights connecting Canadian destinations from coast to coast. The terminal's retail offering will feature 100% local brands, including a Bâton Rouge restaurant, a Café Dépôt and a curated convenience and travel shop. The project was designed for convenience and was built with modern travellers in mind, spanned 21,000 square metres and features a 900-seat waiting lounge.
