YouTube is expanding its TV takeover with 24/7 streaming 'Stations', preprogrammed with videos from artists at the Coachella music festival. The service has been testing these stations with around 40 bands and musicians, and plans to make them widely available in the future. One of the early adopters is Bruno Mars, who is promoting his new album with a YouTube Station. The company is also working on a new second-screen feature, TV Companion, which allows viewers to instantly see additional information about the YouTube video playing on their TV. This is part of a wider effort by YouTube to make its living room experience more engaging and engaging with smart TV platforms.
