A mass shooting outside Buford's Backyard Beer Garden in Austin, Texas, has been identified as possibly an act of terrorism. The suspect, identified as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne, was reportedly armed with a pistol and a rifle and opened fire on patrons outside the bar. After the initial shooting, he allegedly parked his SUV nearby and then opened fire with a rifle on pedestrians. Police intercepted him and fatally shot him. While investigating his motives, FBI special agent Alex Doran noted that there were indicators indicating a potential nexus to terrorism. Diagne was reportedly from Senegal and entered the U.S. on a B-2 tourist visa in 2000 and was naturalized in April 2013. The victims were identified as members of the University of Texas at Austin's Longhorn family.
