The State Department has reported that over 43,000 Americans have safely returned from the Middle East since the U.S. and Israel began striking Iran on February 28. The department has completed over three dozen charter flights and evacuated thousands of Americans from the region. Despite this, flights departing the UAE were cancelled due to a lack of demand. The State Department is also setting up a 24/7 task force for Americans seeking assistance. As of Tuesday, at least 1,262 Iranian civilians, including at least 200 children, have died since the conflict began.
